Telephone Therapy

When Sigmund Freud, the father of psychotherapy saw a patient in his office in Vienna the patient would lay on his famous couch and Freud would sit in a chair at the head of the couch, out of the sight of the patient.

All communication was verbal as Freud could not see the patients face and the patient could not see Freud.

We will be working together over the phone in much the same way that Freud worked.

There is a great deal of evidence that it is easier to say what you really want to say, when you are not making face to face contact with another person.

Of course, therapy has changed a great deal and our work together will make use of the most modern psychotherapeutic techniques to help you bring about the changes in your life that have prompted you to seek some help.
